I have to say this is the first I've heard of a pending sale of EA. Is it time for me to cry, yet? Makes me realize possibly why EA set aside Sims5, not that I was going to buy it. I do hope if a sale does go through that whoever takes over keeps with the integrity of the Sims games, in general and doesn't try to morph it into a shoot 'em up, must have a goal in mind and who's the winner type game. I love the sandbox play wherein I can mostly determine where my Sims are headed. Let me know if it's time for tears, okay?
I think that is the general concern that it won't "keep with the integrity of the Sims games". Either or both at the company side and/or Sims franchise wise. Fears that political agendas or human rights violations are going to overshadow or mar the company/game(s). Fears of layoffs or letting the game die, etc.
