Some red flags in a spam email is the mis spelling of words, and especially the company’s name. A good company business will always triple check emails that they send out to avoid spelling mistakes, and also not spelling their own company name would look very unprofessional.
Another flag is being told that you have won a prize in a competition, and “just click here” to get information how to receive it. You can’t win a prize in a competition that you haven’t entered!
Also, if you receive an email from a company that you have never heard or read about before, this should raise your suspicions. You should then search to discover more about their credentials.
Asking for personal details or clicking a link to confirm or log in to your account is another red flag. A professional company will never ask you for your personal details or to log into your account just through a link in an email.
