Home Wi-Fi Hardening Checklist
Change the default passwords (change the factory login and password on your router , if it's left as default, anyone and their cousin can get in)
Use WPA2 or WPA3: (make sure your Wi-Fi encryption is set to WPA2 or WPA3. Time to bust the dust the old modes!)
Strong Wi-Fi password: (for keeping pesky neighbors off your network)
Keep all up to date: (Check for updates for router, gaming gear, phone, and any smart tech. You don't want holes, not playing golf here)
Bye bye unused devices: (Check your router's device list. Big list with your old pink beloved phone might look nostalgic, but not needed)
Turn off unneeded features: (Not needing everything only cause it looks pretty)
Don't confuse lag with a hack: (usually connection just having a bad hair day.. restart helps more than you can think)
