Hey GSYEthan,
Totally fair question! Responding to posts is only part of what we do here, so just because a longer post hasn't received a specific reply doesn't necessarily mean it wasn't seen. In many of those cases we'll be passing along information for issues that have been reported and need more details, or just the feedback itself for those that are actually developing the game to take into consideration.
Depending on the issue and game, more complex questions such as those regarding the design or intention of game mechanics would typically be something that gets passed along as feedback. That lets the team decide whether certain topics might be better addressed via a blog or other format that makes sure those details are shared with everyone and aren't just buried in a forum thread somewhere only a few people ever see it.
Often times the small post asking a simple question is just that - a simple question we can quickly answer in passing, so we do. These tend not to be the types of posts where we'd have to check the details with various other teams, verify status of fixes, check recent or upcoming blogs or other information, or just have details that we simply may not be able to discuss yet.
We definitely try to jump in where we can, but that's not always in as many threads as we'd like. Fortunately when it comes to these boards, the people here on the boards tend to be among those that play the most, and have a ton of knowledge or thoughts to share on a topic. Those threads that turn into larger discussions are fantastic places to pass feedback from as well, even if we don't make a specific appearance with a dedicated post. Hope that helps clarify a bit more!
