Hello fellow gamers,
I wanted to pop in and provide some hope for those of you who are still struggling with EA support / account lockout issues.
I can confirm that after resuming a case that had the status of 'player unavailable' and waiting for around 2.5 hrs in the chat queue, EA Support responded. Once the chat queue dropped below 99+, I was #1 in line around the 20 minute mark. They requested a first name, IP address, gamer ID tag and the appropriate email you want to change to. The entire process lasted less than 20 minutes. I now have access to my EA account that is linked to my gaming platform and was linked to a dead email address!
If you're like me, you discovered this problem because of the buzz surrounding Battlefront 6. IMO I think the Beta crippled their support staff but now that there is a bit of a break until next weekend, I think their support staff is catching up. I complained a bit here on the forums and I stand by those complaints. I do think that the dead email issue is still an issue and needs to be addressed. However, I do thank EA support for their quick action once the chat worked and they did address the issue. I wanted to give credit where credit is due.
Well… that’s the problem. They’re asking for an IP address that’s more than 10 years old. I’ve moved several times since then and changed my router, etc., so it’s impossible for me to know my IP address from 10 years ago.
