I did the survey. It collected no personal information and was a usual Sims/EA Games survey. The code they gave me doesn't work though. And chat is useless, they told me to reply to the email directly (An unmonitored EA address..)
This was an official survey, correct? It was an official EA email address.

Just be glad you didn't waste your time because that $5 doesn't work. lol

Hey blossombombs and forjacke,
From what I can see on the image, that email address is legit, so it shouldn't be a phishing link. Great thinking in closing the page without inputting details just in case! This page has more information on identifying phishing emails and methods to keep your account secure. If you want to be extra safe, here are a couple of things to try:
- Please try to go through as many of the steps on this page as you can to keep your EA account secure. If possible, do so on a different device from the one you used to access the linked page.
- Run a malware scan on the device you used.
- Keep an eye out for suspicious activity on your accounts, including other platforms you have an account with under the email address that received this email.
Thanks! - blossombombs25 days agoRising Newcomer
Thanks for the info. I don't suppose they offered any insight into additional steps we could take?
And same - just did it without thinking. So annoying.

I don't usually click on links either, but I clicked on this one without thinking. The page just kept loading. I contacted EA and they told me they didn't have any official information about it. I hope it doesn't cause any problems.
