Help! My account has been falsely banned!

Hello EA Community Team,

I am writing this post following a suggestion from EA Help support to seek further assistance with a false ban on my account. My appeals through the official system have been unsuccessful, and I believe my case requires manual review.

Account Information:

  • EA ID: MAX_Angelina
  • Active Case Number: #221608365 (Currently marked as "Waiting for Studio")

Background:
On August 30, 2024, I was playing in Battlefield 2042’s Portal mode, primarily in a custom session against AI bots. During this match, I achieved a high number of kills (approximately 100-200) against AI opponents. Shortly after, my account was banned for alleged cheating.

I have been a loyal Battlefield player for years and have always respected the rules of fair play. I have never used cheats, mods, or any unauthorized software.

Why I Believe This Is a Mistake:
I strongly suspect the anti-cheat system misinterpreted my legitimate gameplay—specifically, the high volume of AI kills in a custom Portal match—as suspicious activity. This was not a competitive multiplayer session but a cooperative-style game against bots.

What I Have Done So Far:

  • Submitted two formal appeals through the Help site
  • Spoke with EA Support agent Manishka on September 12, who escalated the case
  • The case status has been “Waiting for Studio” for over a week, with no update

My Request:
I kindly ask if a community manager or studio representative could manually review my case (#221608365), with specific attention to my Portal mode session on August 30. If any violation确实 occurred, I ask for clear evidence so I may understand what happened.

I simply wish to return to playing fairly and continue supporting the game I love.

Thank you for your time and attention.

Sincerely,
Yang

  • Hi folks,

As several staff members have already mentioned across multiple threads (which I’ve now merged since they all concern the same issue), please note that EA Community staff and members of the Superuser (SU) Program cannot assist with any account-related matters.

This includes, but is not limited to:

    • Banned accounts
    • Disabled accounts
    • Lost/No access to accounts
    • Hacked or compromised accounts

For guidance on these issues, please refer to: [GUIDE] EA Account Help: No Access, Disabled Accounts, Hacks, and More | EA Forums - 12464603

This will be the final message in this thread, which is now locked. We also ask that you refrain from:

    • Creating multiple threads about the same issue
    • Linking repeatedly to other threads on the same topic
    • Tagging multiple staff members or SU Program members to gain attention

These actions are considered spam/mass-tagging and disrupt the community, and we may need to restrict your forum account as a result.

    Thank you for your understanding.

I have appealed many times, but they keep replying to me that I have cheated, and then asked me to post on the EA forum for help.

  • If EA’s anti-cheat is really just banning people for “too many AI kills in Portal,” then it must be on the same level as those old Procon plug-ins we used to run on servers back in the day, kicking people for having 200 ping or too good K/D. Come on, anti-cheat usually digs a lot deeper than that. Bans also don’t trigger instantly after one match. Feels like there’s more going on here than just a false flag.

You will need to wait for the response from your most recent appeal. Unfortunately, posting on this forum will not help, as nobody here can unban you.

Maybe some of the EA folks over here such as EA_Rtas EA_cuervo EA_QueenBee EA_Leeuw  can contact their colleagues at EA Help or the TOS team to stop sending people to these boards with ban issues. As always there's nothing we can do here but sympathize, yet these topics keep popping up and as TO stated he was suggested to come here by EA Help support.

Regardless of any outcome, here is one of the most legitimate ways to unlock weapon attachments regardless of player skill level, without cheating or using modified USB HID controllers, device drivers, or passive hardware-based HUD overlays, with secure boot also enabled:

Create a solo / co-op game with the "Breakthrough" gameplay mode, using either the Spearhead or Redacted map, and the Bot / AI Difficulty Level set to "Beginner."

NOTE: Solo / co-op does not contribute to Battle Pass individual weekly missions / objectives, though it does contribute to rewards / progress, you can still gain XP towards each tier, and earn unlocks for weapons and vehicles themselves. You have to use a public server for the weekly missions / objectives, even if the rest of the players are all bots, though it still is possible to complete tier 60 with only bots using only solo / co-op mode, although progression is very slow when you don't complete the weekly missions / objectives.

If all you're doing is grinding weapon unlocks, then only use Redacted, though for ground vehicle unlocks, it's best to use Spearhead. On the Redacted map, there is one hallway near the first objective, which has a choke point, where tons of bots will group / amass. This area can be better for unlocking attachments on an obscure secondary weapon that has poor handling, which may contribute later on in another game mode towards Battle Pass progress ( such as portal mode, or another game mode that uses matchmaking. )

NOTE: On most matches, it is a fairly repeatable process to grind out between 100 to 400 kills per match, which does contribute to unlocks for in game weapons and vehicles, though you cannot choose which side you want to play on. The downside is you might get only 100 kills per match, even if they're quick rounds. You can always leave and recreate the game. The other negative is that if your vehicle is destroyed, you have to recreate the game, though that's not a real obstacle. When grinding unlocks, it's much slower to use portal mode, or a regular match, simply because it would be too slow or unproductive.

Well, but I'm already tired of the appeal that has lasted for dozens of days. Your colleagues have been refusing to reply to messages, or they would say I cheated without even reading the information. I'm really desperate about this.:(

By the way, I would like to know why my appeal case #221608365 for the wrongful ban has been showing "waiting studio" status. Should I close case #221608365 and file a new appeal case instead?

  • Hello! EA_Rtas EA_cuervo EA_QueenBee EA_Leeuw
I still have an issue with my appeal. My case (#221576999) has been stuck in the status “Waiting for studio” since August 31. I’ve tried to create a new ticket or reopen the old ones, but it seems my account has some kind of restriction and I simply don’t have this option.

I disagree with the ban decision and I’m ready to cooperate and provide all necessary information. Please, forward my case to the appropriate team and help ensure that my data is reviewed manually by a human, not just automatically.

    Thank you in advance!
