Help unlinking a spam EA account from my Steam account

I purchased Dragon Age II with all DLCs on my steam account, but to access the DLCs it required me to open an EA account, which I did, and then asked me to link it to my steam account. However, when I try to link it, I get a message saying there is already an EA account linked to my steam.

I have never linked an EA account to my steam account and the email address they partially display in the error message is clearly a spam address (@orgasmail.com) not a real one. I have spent all morning on the help page trying to find a way to actually ask someone for help but the bot just asks the same questions over and over and ignores my answers.

I don't know how a spam email could have linked to my Steam through EA because I have 2FA set up on Steam and have never received notification that someone was trying to link them.  Steam are not able to assist because the linking is all done at the EA end.

Can someone please assist having this spam account removed and unlinked to me?

  • Hey Deancredible10 it can happen where you link an account by accident and forget, see it all the time where people are at a friend's gaming and accidentally link accounts and don't realise till years later.

To start with, can you take a look at this help article

It has all the info you need around unlinking accounts, as well as links to our live support team should you require further assistance.

Let me know how you get on.

Hey Deancredible10 to speak with our live support you will need to open a case using the links in the help article.

We cannot help with such issues here on the forums, I would recommend being a clear and concise when talking with the bot.

  • Hi Darko,

Thanks, but that help article only assists for someone to unlink THEIR EA account from a steam account. This apparent 'account' linked to my steam is not mine, I don't even know the full email address (it only displays part of it in the error message) but it is as I said above a clear spam account (orgasmail is not a real email domain, it is a spam address).  I did not open this account, or link it to my steam, and have not and have never had access to whatever spam email was used to create it.

I tried to talk to the live support team but it was very clearly just a bot that kept linking the same help articles (which do not apply to this situation) and then just repeatedly asking me the same questions about platform that I had already answered. I need an actual human to help me here as it looks like some spammer has created a fake EA account.
