Is there any way to speak to an actual person at EA?

I have tried that, chatted with people on three separate occasions who assured me the problem was being referred to the appropriate area, but then immediately closed the case once the chat ended.

How can I escalate this matter, if the default support option is unable/unwilling to help?

Community reports are helpful, especially when multiple players are experiencing the same situation, as they can help Community Managers better organize the feedback and raise it to the studio for prioritization.

Yes, specifically when I try to load my franchise, I get an error message "The requested league is temporarily unavailable. Please try again later." Other franchises load without issue, and I can create a new franchise with no problem. This has now been happening for six days, which seems to be more than a "temporary" server outage.

I checked the server status on the EA page, and the server related to Madden does not have issues.

I searched the boards and also external forums like Reddit. Other players have reported the same situation. In some cases the leagues came back, others had to restart their leagues after the problem didn't resolve for several days. The first "advisor" I spoke to in chat confirmed they were seeing other complaints on the same issue and would be working to get it resolved.

Someone even reported having the same issue with Madden 23... one would think this problem should have been solved after three years.

This is highly frustrating. I have been a supporter of the brand, spent considerable time building my custom franchise, and then last week it began giving me this error. The lack of support is discouraging, and has me seriously questioning whether I'm going to purchase the new version when it goes live. Seemingly, the underlying message is that I can invest time in this game, and my franchise could nevertheless vanish at any time with no support.

What am I supposed to be doing to resolve this problem?

From what I can see, I've found only one similar report on the Madden board so far.

That's just it, they don't seem to be passing it anywhere. After a couple of the chats, when I went to the status of the case, it had been marked as no fix available... immediately after my chat had ended. This would suggest nobody looked at it.

There has to be a way to get something in the way of status. Either "we are actively working on it" or "we looked at it, and unfortunately it is corrupted" etc.

As far as only one similar report, it looks as if many have reported this error over a period of time.... a staff writer from Gamespot even wrote an article about the problem. (I have reached out to him as well, hoping to hear back and interested to see if he has gotten other feedback.)

Also, it's likely that when this issue pops up, other league owners are attempting to get the problem corrected, but running into the obstacles I am with the support system... it's next to impossible to even talk to someone as opposed to an AI bot redirecting to a generic FAQ that doesn't solve the problem. These are probably active leagues with multiple players... so if something like this arises, it's doubtful they're going to wait several days and hope the problem might be solved (it's now a week and counting for me.) More likely after being stonewalled with what passes for a support system, they're simply cutting their losses and recreating their leagues. (If anyone else is having this problem, I would love for you to chime in.)

Humorous side note: they just had the audacity to send me a customer survey. I click on "Start the Survey" and am immediately taken to a page with a message "Thank you for taking our survey. Your response is very important to us." as if it's the end of the survey. No questions to fill out or comments. Talk about par for the course!

I can’t even get an agent to show up to the chat. 

Just over and over, nobody ever shows up. This is related to account issues too. Unreal. I’m done spending money on EA products. 

At least you make it to that screen. Now I get a message saying that I've initiated the request "on another device" (I haven't.) They are probably blocking me in some way.
