Unable to create an account and add Family Member to Play EA Game
I am having a heck of a time and getting incredibly frustrated, not only with my situation but trying to find/get help from EA in any way possible.
Several months back - I received an email that I thought was phishing from EA to confirm my child's account. Apparently, it was not a scam, and my sons account was deactivated.
He is trying to play PvsZ, and it pops up that He needs an adult verification to create an EA account. Okay - click into this and a box pops up stating he needs online access to do this. clearly, without an account it's not letting him get online. Then a follow up box states that they cannot connect to EA servers, so its cyclical at this point, and we can't get past that. I checked my profile & his brothers, and both can get into the game no problem.
So i came to the EA website, and through my profile, I'm trying to add a Family member - figured I'd add him on here & get back to the console and take it from there. It sends and email to his email box (the one attached to his Xbox profile) and when I click the link, it's says it's an invalid link. And.... here we are.
I keep running into these problems that's preventing me from creating an account for him so he can play a game that we own - it's a disc. I can't seem to reach anyone at EA and no articles have been helpful. This shouldn't be this hard.
This is the 1st box that pops up when starting the verificationThis is the 2nd box that pops up when we start verificationThis is what happens when I click the link in my sons email to add a Family Member to my account
Okay - nevermind. I was able to fix the issue.
So I logged into my sons Microsoft/Xbox account, then I went to the EA website & tried to auto-login via clicking the Xbox logo. There - it now tells me that I need to verify with an adult. I followed the steps to complete the process.
Crazy I had to take those steps. I'm sure it has to do with a situation between companies & accounts and all that, but I usually am only logged into my accounts on my PC and apps. Crazy I had to log in as my child, who would never go to teh EA site, to get this done. Ugh - it's been a day 😅
