A way Out Friend Invite EA App Not Available

Just to clarify, owning A Way Out on PS4 won’t unlock the PC version through the EA app, as PlayStation and PC are separate platforms.

For Friend Pass, both players need to be playing through a compatible version on the same platform type. Since your friend owns the Steam version on PC, your PS4 copy cannot be used to join their PC session.

If you’re trying to join on PC, you would need access to the PC Friend Pass/free trial where available. Please try the following:

1. Make sure you and your friend are both signed into the correct EA accounts.
2. Make sure you have each other added as EA friends.
3. Have your friend launch the full game from Steam.
4. Ask your friend to send the invite again from inside A Way Out while you have the EA app open.
5. Check whether A Way Out, the Friend Pass, or the free trial option appears in the EA app after the invite is sent.

If the EA app still says the game is unavailable, or if A Way Out does not appear in the EA app at all, then the PC Friend Pass/free trial may not be available for your account, region, or launcher setup.

One extra thing to note: the A Way Out free trial/Friend Pass is not available in Germany, so if your EA account or store region is set there, that may explain why it does not show.

At this point, your PS4 ownership would not grant access to your friend’s Steam PC version. You would need to use a compatible PC Friend Pass/free trial if available, or play with someone using a compatible PlayStation version.
