A way out launch issue

Question

I bought a way out through steam and every time I try and launch it, it just launches the EA app and not the game. I’ve tried just starting it from the EA app but that still doesn’t open the game.

i’ve uninstalled and reinstalled both the game and the ea app and I’ve unlinked and relinked my steam account but it’s still not working

Hi there, sorry to hear A Way Out isn’t launching.
Since reinstalling both the game and the EA app didn’t help, please try the following:

Clear the EA app cache: Menu &gt; Help &gt; App Recovery &gt; Clear Cache
In Steam, go to A Way Out &gt; Properties &gt; Installed Files &gt; Verify integrity of game files
Completely close Steam and the EA app, then restart your PC
Temporarily disable the EA app, Steam, Discord, and NVIDIA overlays
Make sure Steam, the EA app, and A Way Out are allowed through your firewall/antivirus
Try launching Steam and the EA app as Administrator

If the game still doesn’t open, let us know whether you see any error message or if A Way Out briefly appears in Task Manager when you try to launch it.
