[Bug] No point of return if bamba stone is missed

In Act 1, Activate the Waterfall quest, I went to take the first key without taking the bamba stone which allows to freeze the waterfall. Without that stone I am not able to get back on the top. I...

This is still a bug.  Just found myself stuck between waterfalls in the left mine after getting the key.  Turns out if you went upstream after the bridge collapse in order to avoid seemingly certain death from a fast flowing river into spikes; then you are doomed to eternal like between two waterfalls. 

Given that they’ve known about this issue for basically a year; I’m saddened and doubtful that they will patch it to save me from this situation.
