Playability issues on PC with XBOX controller

The game loads correctly although it sometimes takes several attempts due to the EA app. Once running and in fullscreen mode, the LB & RB will not work in full screen mode, so no hints or slo-mo. When the game sometimes launches in window mode, hints and slo-mo work fine until I switch to borderless. It does not allow me to switch back to window mode even when I turn it on. So the only time I get hints or slo-mo is when the game random starts in window mode. 

The bigger issue is in the first chapter where you have tie down the yarn and create a trampoline for them to bounce onto the horizontal tree. That is fine and they are able to climb up the walls to the next tree but the right side has a tree/branch blocking. In every walkthough you I saw you just stand there and the sprite things blasts away the tree and you can go to the right. Not in my game. I can do aything, but it just hangs there and I'm stuck. If this scene doesn't make sense, I can try to get a screenshot but I'm not playing right now. Thoughts?
