Split Fiction on switch 2 and switch 1

Hi.

I have Split Fiction installed on my Nintendo Switch 2. It is said that you can play it with another user on switch the switch 1 using game share. But when I try that I get the same split screen on both the consoles. Am I doing something wrong? I was expecting there to be no split screen and the two consoles have different screens for the 2 players. Is this not possible with the game share option?

This is working as intended. No matter which mode you play Split Fiction in, there will always be a visible divide. This lets you see your own character on one side and the other player's actions on the other.

I read it like you did, was going to wait until it came on sale but then read a post saying the SW1 could locally piggieback off the 2 and was like sweet. And bought it without any other research...

Nope... its splitscreen everywhere unless maybe you got a second switch 2..  WTF..

the only point to this is if you have 2 consolse and no TV or the second console is only a SW1 Lite without detachable controllers... its the stupidest thing I've seen.
