Split Fiction (PC) keeps having fatal crashes

For the last couple of weeks, I have been trying to troubleshoot fatal crashes for SF. I have looked up solutions on Google, Steam, Reddit, and Gemini, and nothing has stopped them. The crashes happen anywhere from a couple minutes to 10-15 minutes after launch. When the game crashes, audio continues as if the game is still playing normally. A pop up comes up that says "The UE-Split Gamme has crashed and will close | Fatal error! | Ok". Once I push the Ok button, the game shuts down.

Here's my system and the steps I have taken. I have a debugging session that I provide upon request, but I will have to copy the entire text onto a response.

RTX 5060 Ti (Brand New upgrade from a GTX 1070 Ti), AMD Ryzen 9 5900X 12-Core Processor, 32 GB RAM, Windows 11

Game is running through Steam.

Steps Taken to Fix Crashes:

  1. Verified the intregrity of the files
  2. Reinstalled the game
  3. Lowered the graphics quality to the lowest settings
  4. Played in full screen, borderless windowed, and windowed mode
  5. Clean installed the GPU Driver
  6. Repaired Windows
  7. Disable Screen Overlays
  8. Ran a Hardware Memory Check
  9. Cleared the Local AppData Cache
  10. Disconnected from the Steam Cloud
  11. Ran the game as an administrator
  12. Ran the game in compatibility mode for Windows 8
  13. Ran a command prompt for sfc /scannow
  14. Turned off HAGS
  15. Limited fps to 60fps
  16. Cleared the Windows DirectX Shader Cache
  17. Added launch options through Steam, including -dx11, -dx12, -onethread, and -forceribypass
  18. Resetted the TPM

  • I should add as well that this is happening while playing the game locally. I tried to play the game online, but the other person's computer was crashing instead. To isolate the issue, we tried to play on my PC only and the crashes still happen.
