wild hearts won't launch

@domodyssey Hey, so this is happening quite a bit and since each case is different, check This Thread I've tried to list out all steps that did and can work for players on Steam and the EA App. I hope these help you.

@domodyssey I have the exact same issue. No fixes seem to work. 

Funny thing is that this is the only game I have this kind of issue with. First time using the EA play launcher as well. 

@ScrumpehJ Yeah its kind of wild honestly. So many steps do and don't work for everyone which has made that hard to narrow down. I have my own ideas but I cant make changes to things, so Im trying to have people do all the steps that have worked vs ones that I know just don't do anything.

It did not help, I also never had any trial. or tried to play in any trial. I bought the game last night. there is a post on steam from the dev mention that the launch issues are fix and you just have to complete the migration process. do you know what that is?

@domodyssey Yeah so I believe one of the CMs said that the migration from Origin to EA App was resolved which is what they were speaking about. So, anyone launching on steam should be okay now. This Thread 

Same issue for me, can't launch the game at all, steam launches the EA App, but then the game never opens. If I try to open the game from the EA app, then it just tries to launch it from steam which then tries close and reopen the EA app again repeating the same issue of doing nothing. Sometimes its told me that there was an error on EAs side, and the link on the EA app for the game is greyed out with the triangle with the ! in it showing that version installed on the device is incorrect and to uninstall the EA plays version.. can't exactly do that when there is no EA plays version installed.

So this seems to be some sort of version mismatch issue with steam and EA plays. Which makes some sense, as I preordered the deluxe version on steam, but for whatever reason steam lists DLCs installed as just the deluxe edition pre order bundle key, but does not list the wild hearts karakuri upgrade, and if I go to the steam store it does not show the karakuri upgrade as being in my library, where as the EA plays does show that my addons includes the pre order bonus and karakuri upgrade.

As much as this is a question of my own I am having this exact problem myself only started as of around 5pm this evening (GMT Time), I noticed that my game time has just gone over 10 hours, the amount given to trial run the game before paying for EA Play ( which I do not have), paid for & installed Wild Hearts through steam, linked my account through steam when the EA launched installed & then uninstalled the Origin launcher. (Phew) Now that's out the way my own guess is that currently for what ever reason, despite having bought and installed the game on steam the EA launcher sees in EA Play sub & has given me the 10 hours (10hrs 4mins in my case) to play & will not allow me anymore till I have an EA Play sub. If this is the case then I would guess that there is defo something mixed up, if not, I don't plan on spending another £4 a time just to play one game I already payed £60 on steam just due to a launcher wall.

This evening I was able to find a solution to the launching problem by locating the .exe file & turning off run as admin & disable full screen optimization, I don't have any recollection of turning them on in the first place, but after that reloading steam & the EA App, then launching Wild Hearts directly from the EA App I was able to get it to load.

In addition I also logged out of the EA App at one point & unchecked all the auto remember & login boxes before logging in with the steam link account button on the login window, i'm unsure if this was any help at this point as I had done both before I tried booting the game again, but it worked.
