Can ea play discounts be shared like ps plus.

So I'm 16 so I can purchase an ea play account, but of course playstation doesn't let you link anything to a child's account even if you're the allowed age, my father has ps plus and he shares it so I can use it as well, will the ea play discounts work the same way. Can I just get it on my father's account and still let me use the discounts?

  • Hey @Battlecars1015,

No, EA Play is unfortunately not able to be shared across multiple accounts. PlayStation Plus works a bit different in that aspect, as it lets you share (some) of the PlayStation Plus benefits if there are multiple accounts on the same console.

    Hope this helps.

  • My question is if I purchase EA Play for my PS5 account, will all accounts on my PS5 have access to the games? And if I buy EA Play on my PS5, will I also be able to access EA Play games on my PS4 if I use the same account? And will all accounts on my PS4 also have access to the games? Thank you

    Hey @vnglggufwjcr,

I believe that when you purchase EA Play on your main PSN account and claim a game via EA Play on that main PSN account, other local PSN accounts on the same console can indeed play the claimed game as well.

And yes, if you buy EA Play on your main PSN account on your PS5, it will also carry over to your PS4 as long as you use the same accounts.

    Hope this helps?
  • So there is no way my 11 year old son (who plays Fifa 23 on our PS5) can have a one month subscription to EA Play? He can't share mine (which was bought for him) and is not allowed to buy his own. Is that correct?

    Hey @fnm6t1rgz99e,

Yeah, I believe that is correct yes. However, it's better to check this with Sony PlayStation support as it's eventually about his PSN account. But due to age restrictions, I indeed believe that he is not able to have an EA Play sub on his own.
