Recently three games have shown up on my game pass, labeled as EA Play. These are Populous: the Beginning, Alpha Centauri, and Simcity 3000 Unlimited. All three games I KNOW I'd enjoy. But when I go to download them, the download button is greyed out and says "Content failed to Load" They also don't really seem to show up on my EA Play Store either, so I'm wondering what's going on, and how i might fix this so I can play those games. My accounts are properly linked, and I can download and play other EA play games, such as Wild Hearts, I've included screenshots. CM edit: edited title for clarity.

RESOLVED - Post Marked as Solution for Visibility Hello all, We have received an update from both the Microsoft Xbox and EA Play teams regarding the previous issue of not being able to download Sim City 3000, Populous: The Beginning, and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri via the Xbox app with your EA Play membership from Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, stating that these issues have been resolved. We advise you to log out of the Xbox app for PC and the EA app and then log back in, clear the EA app cache, repair the EA app, or reinstall the Xbox app on your PC to see if the games are now downloadable and playable. Please keep us updated on your progress. If we do not receive any updates, we will soon close the thread. Thank you.

Can't Download SC3000, Populous: The Beginning, and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri

So the Game Populous The Beginning had been added to the regular Xbox Gamepass in the cooperation with EA Play.
The game seems to be downloadable from the Xbox Client, but when I press to Download the game, I get sent to the EA Client where the game is not downloadable but I can purchase it for 5 Euros and i get 50 cents off because I have the EA Play Memebrship thgough my Xbox Gamepass. I have many bugs starting my EA Client through my Xbox Client and it is mostly the "buy the game" one or my Xbox Client can not connect to the EA Servers and to conntact both support teams, I think this is either a bug because the Client hasent gotten an update in a while or maybe the Game has never been added to the EA Play.
The screenshots added show that the Game is clearly part of the EA Play on the Xbox Client, but when we switch to the EA Client, only the first 2 games are part of EA Play and Populous The Beginning has to be bought, weird right?

I have same issue.
Microsoft account linked with EA, In EA app there is info that I have EA Play from MS game pass
I have access to Sim city 3000 unlimited and Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri, but not for Populous The New Beginning.
Also if @t5y81knwrrzh have unlinked EA and Xbox accounts then he will be unable to download any game that need game pass

@t5y81knwrrzh I also have this issue and have installed other games via gamepass/EA. I currently have mass effect legendary via gamepass that works just fine.

~~We are currently working on a solution. You should be able however to download any of those 3 titles directly using EA app with your EA Play subscription.~~

Sadly I can't download Populous The Beginning in EA app either. Only information that i can buy game with 10%discount from EA Play.

I am getting the same issue, EA just seem to be repeating a generic message, pretty much what i expect from EA, love the money, hate to help

Hi,
I was glad to see that this week Populous: the beginning has been added to pc gamepass.
As i eagerly wanted to download and play the game it just wouldn't let me. as in the xbox app it keeps saying "content loading failed"(in dutch).
I've reinstaled both the xbox app and EA app but it still keeps saying "content loading failed".
I've also tried to download it via the EA app but the game doesnt appear in the liberary of the EA app.

Can somebody help me, as i really want to play the game🙂

Same situation.
I use EA play quite frequently for EA FC 24 and many other games. It is very much linked but Populous hasn't been linked to Game pass correctly and is stuck behind a payment instead of F2P.
I have the Ultimate edition for Game pass and no issues previously.
Can you make sure you update us when its resolved.
