Battlefield 2042 is only included in the EA Play Pro version and not in the EA Play version. As Steam only has the EA Play version, you will only get access to the 10-hour trial.

This doesn't mean that BF2042 won't be added to the vault at a later date though, but you will have to keep an eye on our EA Play Twitter account to stay up to date.
For those of you asking about if you get access to the Open Beta via Steam, please create a new thread as this topic is specifically about the the different versions of EA Play and if Battleifeld 2042 is included or not.

Also on the link you provided it says that we get access to the Open Beta (which starts today!) AS WELL AS the 10-hour trial:
"EA Play members (including Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate subscribers) will have early access to Open Beta and a 10-hour trial of Battlefield 2042 starting on November 12, 2021."
This is why so many users are confused. We have been promoted access to the Open Beta (which is on RIGHT NOW) and then when it comes out, we are told "Nope, not happening till November unless you give us more money!"

I was talking specifically about the full game of Battlefield 2042, not the Beta or the Trial.
