Xbox Linked to EA Account (which is not mine) and EA support does nothing

Hi

I've just got an PC GamePass subscription, and it says my Xbox account is already linked to EA.

After contacting support twice and trying to figure out what's going on, I'm practically convinced my account was hacked and EA does NOTHING to unlink this fake EA account from my Xbox account so I can use my real account.

I was able to identify through mucking around in the forums and 'half' logging into this fake account by logging in through my Xbox account that the fake EA account is: Saboor20000. It also has a similar email address, which I am not familiar with at all, which leads me to believe my account was hacked.  I cannot see what this email address is anymore though, because I tried to update the email address to one of my real email addresses. I think it only updated this for the forum part of EA, not the real EA account.

I have contacted EA support twice and they did NOTHING. They did not even offer for me to send in ID or anything of the sort so that they could unlink the fake EA account from my Xbox GamePass account, which would enable me to link my REAL EA ACCOUNT to my Xbox GamePass.

I've even tried to create a new Microsoft account to start a fresh Xbox account, but for some reason it is always automatically linked to this fake EA account.

As such, I will never be able to access the EA games through my Xbox GamePass subscription, even though I am paying for it.

If anyone knows any real solutions, that would be much appreciated.

Please don't tell me to contact EA customer support. I've done it twice, and it leads to NOWHERE.

Cheers

Matt

  • SOLUTION:

I had the same problem. Fully explained in this thread verified by EA AHQ staff, online support is useless and cant help. Did this only the other day so I know it works.

Basically you need to contact EA's Data Protection Officer (Links and explanation in thread linked above). From there they will verify you via Xbox live by sending you a message from their test machine with a verification code, you email it back and they then reset the account unlinking it from your Xbox account, allowing you free to add a new one. Same goes for PSN.

Took me 2 days to get an email response then it was sorted within a couple of hours.

I'm wondering the same thing. The link provided doesn't pull anything up.
