Error message PS65542

Platform:Xbox Series X

Summarize your bug When I try to join ranked multiplayer (bronze league) all I get after a long wait is error code PS65542
What is your 16 digit Report Code? None.
Can you please provide the name of your current internet service provider? Sky
Which area is the bug/glitch in? Multiplayer
Did you have cross-play enabled? Yes
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? Try joining a ranked multiplayer game, I mean this happened on F1 2022 but you chose to ignore it then so still in the game
What happens when the bug occurs? Just get the error message I mentioned tried joining for over a hour on Saturday night and nothing but error messages!!
What do you expect to see? The screen showing I joined a multiplayer game duh.

Like to say this error was common in F1 2022 for me too and I know from talking to others that this drove a lot away from multiplayer altogether but as usual it’s ignored by codemasters as all that matters is a new braking points that we play once then ignore for 51 weeks!!!!
Try fixing the bugs that exsist in the for years now instead of taking us all for mugs by you doing nothing to fix the mess you create. Under uk law it is illegal to release any product in a broken state yet you do this year after year as it is so well known all EA care for is profits and not what customer or national laws state and expect.

  • Had the same problem. For me it helped closing the game and restart it. Did not get the error message again. I suppose quick starting the game interferes with the matchmaking

  • Has there been any resolution to this? I get the same error. 1gbps/1gbps symmetric fiber to the home. Wired 1gbps ethernet and no network issues.

    Same problem persisting for weeks now. The only way around is that every time it happens I have to uninstall the game entirely and reinstall. 

    This buys me a few sessions at best or until I do something else like time trials or career mode. It’s never worked longer than a single session. 

    I really wish EA would get ahead of this and fix their game!!!!!!!  Soooo tired of this

    Closing the game and restarting it just worked perfectly for me. Thank you. I had just quick launch the game also though.
