During any night raceWhat do you expect to see? no different perfomance like during dayDuring any night race, FPS seem to drop massively even on lowest settings. During day my PC is able to produce constant 60FPS on any track, during Benchmark even up to 80FPS. During night I´m playing with 30-37.My specs: GTX 1050 Tii5-750016GB RAMI suspect it is the fog, that you cant turn off for some reason or lighting was massively changed, which to me doesnt look like it if you compare to last games.

And i've tried going from ultra high settings (which i ran in f1 22 at a stable 110fps) down to very low and even then its unstable 60-70fps. Such a shame since im a big fan of pretty much all the night races but these things make them almost unplayable. seems like all these new lightning systems has improved fps stability in the sun but drastically worsened it in the night.this is on a pc with a :gtx geforce 1070 8gb dual, intel i5 10600kf @ 4.10GHz and 16gb RAM. Please EA and Codies atleast look into this, i've heard many people with even more powerful pc's than me with the same issues. Any help is appreciated! I have submitted 2 files which are screenshots from my career race in bahrain before the sun goes down and the second one is when the sun has gone down, this always happens on lap 8. As you see it goes down in the middle of turn 10 and after that its stays like that for the whole race. The 2 screenshots are exactly 11 seconds apart. The fps in the first one is around 160 up to 170, as for the second one tho it drops down to an unstable 80fps which sometimes go down to 30-40, which caught me out the first time causing me too lock up and go straight on, thats a skill issue tho. But the fps shouldn't drop by pretty much 90 fps in the middle of a corner. This is obviously a optimization issue where you must have completely forgot to optimize the game once it turns to night

A smooth frame rate as it is in the daytime (60 fps or more).When I run races at night there are major frame drops, it drops down to around 30 fps. In all other conditions it runs smooth. I have heard that this is a bug with the optimisation of night features. My PC is not the best in specs, but F1 22 had the exact same graphics requirements, and every type of condition ran smoothly, including night races. On this game, every condition is fine EXCEPT night races, and also Qatar when run in sunset is bad too. I also know people with good computer specs that have these frame rate issues too. That's why I believe it's an optimisation issue with the game. I have tried going to minimum settings, turning off and on the Nvidia Reflex, even going to the absolute minimum resolution of 1024 x 768. But nothing worked to fix it. Sure thing, here you go. I suppose my PC just meets minimum requirements on the GPU which puts the blame on my side. Yet still as someone mentioned it also happening on a series X, maybe something could be wrong on the games optimization.

A friend of mine with a GTX1060 and identical CPU also has the same issue.

Something is definitely messed up with night races. During a short race in Bahrain on lap 8 the horizon suddenly became very foggy, dark and somewhat pixelated. Everything that moved over it was smeared around the edges. The graphics were okay until the sun set and then it looked terrible.

Take a look at this video of Bahrain on lap 8. The sun sets and the horizon suddenly changes and looks very degraded. Everything in front of it takes on a weird bright outline and my car antennae smears it around. Ray traced reflections in the car seem off as well.

What happens when the bug occurs? Bahrain horizon degrades and gets foggy after the sun sets. Everything in front of it has a bright outline and my car antennae smears the background
What do you expect to see? Consistent quality with the horizon no matter the time of day during the race.

Here is a video of the glitch happening. The horizon looks normal at the start of the video but suddenly changes to the degraded look which is foggy, much darker and low quality.
