Re: F1® 24 [Megathread] Handling Feedback
Ok so I bought the basic EA Play to test it out.
Yesterday I thought it is okay on Dualsense Controller at PC that you can even go with traction control off so the throttle management is smooth you can race of each of them whatever you like. Then the initial input reacts quickly which is good, I don't know if that's the case that a lot of FPS and 144Hz is helping with v-sync off but it feels fine.
But then:
-I can't counter as quick as in F1 23 where it had "Precision Drive" and some different kind of filter for the controller or whatever.
-the turning after the initial input is decreasing and you don't have such nice steering range in the corners as in F1 23, instead you have quite big understeer or when you do correction like on 3rd/4th gear at the exit for example on turned off traction control but even on medium traction control, the rear is beginning to be nervous and sometimes this lead to the situation you have to counter and you go into the grass or out of the outside line and get a warning for leaving the track instead of keeping your car on the track.
It can be all controller/physics related but it can also be the matter of the stock f1 car setup which always could be improved. And of course not forget about how much the Steering Wheels have problems to control it too. But now I would say it is not good for both types of controls and the handling can be promising it has few good things, but for the moment including grip and everything it is a bad state for now.
I hope it helps. And that you "EA/Codies" deliver a nice update for all including wheels and controllers that's what i'm expecting. Especially because the game is quite expensive for some of the Countries and it has good things, it just has to play better and give better feeling.
