Voice control for radio
I know this is a long shot as it hasn’t existed in any F1 game on the PS5, but is there ANY chance voice control for team radio will return? It’s really annoying on a track like Monaco that you can’...

For me this is the most needed thing on the next game.
If they cant get voice commands then they NEED to think of a way forvus to communicate better with the team in race.
Its actually unacceptable that they have sorted this issue out on this current game.

@e6c50f9737b2a02a I use the PS4 version of the game on PS5 for this reason precisely. For 22 and 23 (IIRC) I made a suggestion to be able to edit the 1st page of the MFD, because it looks like voice commands will not be supported on next gen for the reasons @ScarDuck14 outlines.
Another bugbear, I have is they keep missing out on easy win QOL improvements such as the above. I put together threads for the last two years where I scoured all the suggestions regularly and collated all of the easy wins I could find. I filtered out anything remotely complicated and limited to the really easy stuff (given my background in software systems and UI), that I know is not much effort or would rock the boat too much in terms of introducing new bugs. None have been implemented, and I cannot be bothered to keep doing the work putting these posts together for no gain. As a result I have become a much more casual player; I can take it or leave it, whereas before 23 I was spending at least 3 hours a day on the games.
- @Monzstar83 And before my forced retirement I passed on every worthwhile suggestion.( Which means all of yours) to anyone I thought may be able to put them in front of the right people. Before Groguet and Vendcera took other the boards. The CMs previously did as much as they could but they were managing other boards and not just Codemasters. I’m purely guessing but as F1 games aren’t exactly content heavy plus not having the player base anywhere close to FIFA, Madden etc. I guessing they may have initially underestimated how much attention these games required. I do know however that both the CMs we have now genuinely want to help us. They are relentless in chasing up issues.
But I’m as frustrated as everyone. Nearly 2 years ago I was made champion. I banged on and on to Staff all the issues these games have and still continue to have. I know they took my feedback seriously as they did change staff around so we had dedicated CMs plus I guess my biggest win with help off the other champions was getting the community raised issues board added. But even so feels like it only gets updated when the CMs tell them it hasn’t been.
Just feels like Codemasters are bored of these games. Maybe a result of being pushed into adding features like F1 world. Because let’s face it no one from the Dev team would have come up with such an idea.

I genuinely cannot comprehend why small QOL improvements that have been suggested over a number of years have not made it into the games - and there are SO MANY examples that have been consistently requested. Some of these things are so simple and would be transformational to the user experience, but they just get ignored.
I think there are literally a few features that gets put on the roster early and then all resources are put on there at the expense of everything else. Once released, it only fixes that effort is spent on.
Rinse (us) & repeat $$$
- @Monzstar83 I wonder if it’s a case of old staff moving on and new staff not being fully up to speed on what QOL features need attention. Obviously posting a thread asking us what’s needed before they start work on next game isn’t something they can bring themselves to do. As they will no doubt be under orders not to post anything that makes them seem like they don’t know
