I would try manually uninstalling and reinstalling the Anti-cheat. Seems the program can easily become corrupted and verifying/ repairing the files through Steam doesn't always work. Instructions in the link below.
Thank you. Did it. I managed to join a race, but the game crashed 20 seconds later.
It was the longest I managed to remain inside the game though......

hey, i found the solution, go to document-my games-delete the F124 file and try run the game.
