Sorry to hear you're having some trouble getting that download started. Do you happen to have a screenshot or picture of that full error message you're getting? Have you tried any particular troubleshooting steps so far?
The quickest thing to try first would be clearing the cache on the EA app itself just to make sure it's not missing any updates or other issues preventing you from downloading the game.
