EA/Codemasters will struggle with the AI adjustments, as it most def. requires a lot of testing for each track if they want to assure the experience will be levelled for every player at the different AI skills.
In my opinion the only real solution for this is to have a totally fresh approach to it, but im unsure EA/Codemasters will ever go down that road as it requires a lot of man hours.
Just redo the AI code, and do the calculations for each driver per lap, so skill/performance for each AI driver is recalculated for each lap using at least the following data:
Car performance (including damage, fuel in the tank, etc.)
Car setup
Tire grip
Tire wear (each tire)
Tire temperature
Air temperature
Track surface temperature
Track surface dry level
Track surface wet level
Driver skill (this may be split into more than just the average rating, for more precision)
Track experience ++ extra bonus if the tracks is the drivers hometrack
Using this approach, and if it's done right will most probably also make it much easier to adjust AI drivers performance during the season - shazzalady132 months agoSeasoned Hotshot
BulletEyeDK I think we all know they’re never going to do that 😂 I think it would be easier for them to just put in an option to turn off wet weather. I know it’s not the point, they should have the simple things working before the game is released but at this point I would love to be able to play career mode or my team without hoping with every fibre of my being that I don’t see a rain cloud at the bottom of quali or the race🤦🏻♀️😂

Driver performance update still not working on two player career mode. Please release a hot fix to patch this

Sadly they said they can’t put an option to shut off weather for 25. It tells me a lot about the state of the code.

So we’re stuck with this absolute joke of a game the way it is. Great!

Did anything in the patch touch the players rear grip levels? After both Silverstone and Spa the MyTeam car feels like it has less rear grip. I felt it mainly in the chicanes.

I don’t think it did. I haven’t done a wet race at either of those tracks but I done a wet race in Australia and the rear grip was awful especially out of the slower corners.

I agree 100% with this something feels off about the Handling and i hate it. It was unusual using many Flashbacks and Spinning out almost every corner in various laps. They 100% Shadow Patched something out of our control but this is now a Cut for me where i say "I wont buy these games at least not for fullprice or even 60€" they should let the License expire for being untransparent and not Honest with the Community. Thank you for confirming what i had in mind about this.

Agreed the handling albeit improved from F124 isn't great. Way too pointy and aggressive on the front end. Slow corners are awful and that horrible unrealistic flicking still exists.
F123 was by far and away the best handling model they've made. I'm afraid to say it's all gone rubbish since then.
Why on earth they have to mess about with the handling physics within the same regulations is just ridiculous?
They probably need to do it to promote it as a new feature to support a failing game each and every year since EA took over.

I have theory that the esports drivers or maybe even someone who knows something about the way a real F1 car feels gave them input to make the handling more realistic. I still hold the average player would put a real F1 car into a wall pretty quickly if they really drove it. So we mortals need help.
And this is the problem facing EA. Give a game 90% love and the elite 10% despise or give the elite the game they want and praise and 90% of the consumers eventually walk away from.
I am pretty sure you can’t do both without adding a lot of features that allow you to tune the game to your tastes. That requires resources and time. Resources that mean not doing Braking point and time a yearly series doesn’t offer.
