Fanatec GT DD Pro – How to Fix Severe FFB oscillation after second session

Hi everyone! Joining the thread because I am experiencing exactly the same issue on PC after installing the latest F1 patch. My setup is a Fanatec GT DD Pro (8 Nm).

The issue is completely systematic and reproduces only during session transitions:

• When it happens: At the beginning of any new session (e.g., entering Qualifying for the first time, or transitioning from Qualifying to the Race right when the lights appear).
• The symptoms: The moment I exit the pit lane or the race starts, there is an immediate and drastic drop in FFB strength. Immediately after, the Force Feedback suddenly kicks back in full force, triggering violent oscillations. The wheel shakes so heavily that I cannot stop it even by holding the rim firmly with both hands.
• The workaround: The only way to fix it is to pause the game, turn the wheel base off, and turn it back on.
• The weird part: If I am within the same session (like Qualifying) and select "Restart Session" from the menu, the bug does not happen. It only triggers when loading a session for the very first time (from the Hub to Qualy, and from Qualy to the Race grid).

It is incredibly frustrating, especially for online races where you obviously cannot pause the game to power cycle the base.

I have already updated to the latest Fanatec App version (1.5.4.2) and latest firmware, but the issue completely persists.

Has anyone found a workaround or know if Codemasters/EA is aware of this FFB bug introduced in the latest patch? Are you guys running specific Fanatec driver/firmware versions that bypass this?
