FIX THE CONTROLLER TYRE WEAR NOW!!!

I made a post 2 months ago on this issue, that accompanied by multiple other posts from different users, talking about the same thing.

The controller tyre wear is an absolute joke and it makes racing completely pointless. This week we rocked up to Spain for our round in the league. Everybody is aware that the 1 stop is the only way to be competitive, obviously not including safety cars etc. My front left medium is on 84% and blows from effective P2 AT YHE START OF LAP 12!! For context the lead car on my strategy pits at lap 17, from a medium and his tyres don’t even reach 75%.

The difference? A choice of input device.

How can it still be right that controller users are STILL unable to compete over a league race distance due to such nonsense. Taking a second stop is physically the only way to get to the end at a lot of tracks, a fact that means you cannot compete at the front at all. In terms of assists, I only use line. Clearly I am an above average player, most TT times are within the top 500-1000 and yet you physically cannot see the end of a race.

This forum is obviously monitored, people from codies obviously saw the posts from 10+ people saying the exact same thing months ago. You’ve either got no fix, or cannot be remotely bothered to try to fix it. It’s disgusting that to compete you have to spend a grand on a rig just because your tyre wear will be lower and therefore able to make the end of a stint.

At this point, you deserve to lose the license. You’ve not made a decent game in 4 instalments. I’d rather boot up Mario Kart.

I’m usually really reserved in what I say, but I’m sorry – how stupid do you think we are? This sentence is the height of ignorance.

Many drivers who have this problem – with just a few exceptions, almost all of them controller players – have well over 100 hours in the game and have tried everything to reduce the problem.

But it’s not possible!! The problem is you, not us! The forum is full of complaints about this issue, but you simply don’t care! At least tell us that, and don’t write in another post that the problem has been forwarded to the team.

Stop lying straight to our faces! This was my last game of this kind – we pay a ton of money every single year for a piece of garbage.

If I treated my customers the way you do, I would have gone bankrupt a long time ago.

It’s a shame about what is actually a really nice game, which once again has been ruined by EA’s ignorance.

  • I hope they lose the license as soon as possible. Pad players are the majority of the user base, people have been complaining about these issues for months and they just don’t care. It would be better if F1/FOM gave the license to someone else who actually listens the community

It’s not that they don’t care, i think it’s the fact they learned their lesson from last year’s game. Granted yes it is a problem but when they did a update around the handling it ended up being worse.

I think they are simply taking longer to try and resolve it similar to what they have done with the AI in the wet

  • We’ve been telling them for months that controller players can’t turn fully, and on top of that the tires wear out way too much. On some tracks I can’t even finish my race, the tires blow up before the end. Meanwhile, wheel users have way less tire wear.

Agreed, it's a massive oversight by the development team. Again probably never even tested prior to release. The tyre wear in their previous games was never an issue between the controller and a wheel, so why on earth it's happened now is beyond me?

It's a huge problem that needs fixing ASAP.
