MALAYSIA
So guys, now Malaysia is back on the 2026 Calendar. Is there any chance we get it in the 2026 DLC? Because i would be so happy if this is the case...

I believe it was in a previous version of the game - F1 2017. I don't believe the track has changed since then. Couldn't it be copied into the current game? What am I missing here?
Yes, it was last featured in game during the 2017 cycle, but that was 9 years ago. The graphical assets used in game have changed a lot in that time so it's pretty unlikely they can just be copied over. It's the same scenario as 2020 when Istanbul Park and Hockenheim couldn't be brought back despite having been used previously.
We should probably wait for the community managers to weigh in on the subject, but for now I'm inclined to agree with Cpayne that Malaysia isn't coming back to the game.
I dont think it should be added now, because as Cpayne32 said, it could take away from F1 27.
But i do think that, as we see more and more circuits being suggested and talked about for replacing the middle east ones in 2026, devs should prepare or even include many more circuits in F1 27 onwards. Maybe next year, besides the full calendar, Barcelona could still be there, with Imola and Portimao, and maybe add Malasya and Istanbul park, as they were talked about in these past months.
Im aware of licensing issues, but could be nice to have, for example, Istanbul park, malasya, hockenheim, vietnam, and other present day circuit layouts, as Barcelona with the chicane, Albert Park with the old sector 2, the outside layout of bahrain, old Singapore with the tunnel, and so on. I mean, its not "a lot" of work because the circuits are mostly done, some parts could be redone, but well, giving the fact that devs cant even take the time to add some updated gravel or change the color of braking zone markers, i doubt they would put in the work to do all of this just because fans want it, they ship the game and move on to the next, or at least thats what it seems from the outside.
I dont know if this has been done before, but it could be nice if devs did a Q&A or something like that to answer things like how many hours of work does it actually take to do model an entire F1 circuit, that could give the community some sense of how they work and how long things take to be done, because all we know now (at least that im aware of) is how long take modders to make a realistic car model or circuit in other games like assetto or iracing, and, as it happens many times with big studios, the community ends up thinking "well, if a modder can do X car and make a fairly good looking map of X circuit, why do we have to wait until next year so they can add malasya?"
An understand of how software /games are built
