No driver progression in myTeam

There are various factors that attribute to growth of the drivers.

Age is quite an important one.  For example, Alonso, Hamilton, Hulkenberg and any other grandfathers of the track aren't going to see any progression as they're older than time itself and will just decline. 

Callie obviously doesn't fit into that box, so i'd assume that the higher the level, the longer the level progression will take. Otherwise Max will (no pun intended) max out quite quickly, same with Norris.  Tim at 62 has a lower threshold required to achieve the next level as there's more scope for his numbers to go up. 

The Overall is based off a weighted average with pace being the main contributor.  Tim's pace has probably increased quite well due to completing races and his slower pace level at the start.  Callie won't have seen as much growth in that as it was already higher.   I'd have expected some growth in at least one of her stats though, most obviously experience as that's not a subjective growth.   It could be that she's peaked and this is as good as she'll ever get.   Drivers have limits.

I guess taking control of a young driver yourself who you'd expect growth on and seeing if their stats increase or not would test whether it is tied to just drivers like Callie, or all drivers the player controls. 

I have to say that i highly doubt any of your solutions as the normal career mode and last year's carrer mode proved otherwise. Age has no influence in driver progression in F1 24 and F1 25, Hamilton and Hülkenberg can go up to 99, as can Antonelli and Tramnitz. And as i said, that not even one stat didn't change after 1,5 seasons seems to be odd.

I tried another myTeam and this time i always used Tim Tramnitz and let Callie Mayer make her own AI thing. And same picture: Tim doesn't maker any progress but Callie does. So it's cleary the case that the user controlled driver in myTeam doesn't change it stats. And that is...unsatisfying.

If you're controlling Hammy/Hulky in Driver career then that'd be different, i'd expect.  There's different progression paths for that that the player has control over.   In MyTeam, i've never seen any old fogies progress stats upwards.  

In terms of MyTeam, my assumption would be that the controlled player doesn't grow because they've never needed to before.   When it was a created owner/driver, you had no intrinsic stats to grow so it's possibly an unintentional carry-on of that.   You're right in that it does need resolving. 

I assume this won't be fixed this year. EA didn't even noticed this bug :/

No, if the driver growth system follows exactly what it used to be, then each driver already had a fixed growth/decline curve that progress through the 10 seasons of career, and no outside factor would change any of that.

If this assumption is correct as it follows what CM had done in the past, then what happened with Icon Drivers is that - all of the legendary Icons + APX GP Icons simply have fixed stats across the 10 seasons, which means they will not have any growth or decline.

Just think of this as the dev wants to always present these legends in their peak form, as they don't follow proper timeline anyways.

Meanwhile, the F3 Icons & Esport Icons have very low default stats, so I believe because of gameplay and balancing needs, they gave these specific Icons the same type of natural growth/decline as all other real life drivers, so they won't remained the worst option all the time and gave them actual purposes to be used in careers. 

Well, your assumpotion is partly wrong. As stated in my second comment, Callie Mayer has no fixed stats when not driving as her. Meanwhile, Tim Tramnitz has fixed stats when driving as him. So the problem is not that the icons have fixed stats but that the driver the player uses in myTeam has fixed stats. And that is absolutely stupid. First you can't drive as your own created driver and then your driver doesn't evolve? Who ever thought this was a great idea?

Maybe... but that's not the same experience i've had. I've had AI controlled Senna increasing to 98 at Red Bull, Callie got to 90 at McLaren.   I've hired neither of them for my own team so can't say what would have happened if they were on my team.

Also, the OP said that if they were Tim then he didn't grow, so that doesn't fit your narrative neither? 

I just feel like it is a scenario where the player controlled character doesn't get any XP from the races you drive as them as that makes more sense to me with what the OP said.    I'd happily do some testing of the idea when I get time, but i'm sceptical that it's because F1 Icons don't grow (because they have) and that the youth grow (because they didn't for the OP when they controlled them). 

No, in MyTeam mode, the game does not notify you of the driver's stat growth, you had to check and record the stats yourself, and the growth is quite slow and unnoticeable unless you constantly keep check of it. 

Tim definitely had growth, but I'm not entirely sure of Mayer (haven't tried activate her in MyTeam yet), and it's the same for Esport Icons but not the Legendary Icons (their stats should be permanently fixed in MyTeam).

I've had Opmeer in MyTeam and ran as him almost every race (Button as teammate), the result is Opmeer had increased a few points so far in the 1st season, whilst Button remained the same. 

Interesting about Senna, I wonder if the facility buffs on attributes are actually shown on AI team's drivers this year? Because in past titles those buffs were hidden from player.

So for example, if an AI team's driver had like 95 rating on your screen, they're actually 100 because AI team had facility buffs.
