PSVR2 F1 25
Dear EA team, dear f1 community, Is there any possibility, any chance that you develop a psvr2 compatibility for f1 25? Even a slight possibility? Is this still on the table or there is absolutely...
I think it'll need other major racing games other than GT7 to offer PSVR2 to players before EA give the ok for it to be added to a F1 game. Which with the amount of racing games due to come out on PS5 over the next year. Once one or two support PSVR2 the rest including F1 will follow
I think they issue with the other racing games coming out for PS5 over the next year is that they are too similar to GT7 (I think)? Forza, Assetto, Project Motorsport are the ones, right? Great if they do add PSVR2 support, but I'd only get one of them if you can create offline and online custom championships with ai filling the gaps of non-player cars. I'm now set up with a PS5 original and PS5 Pro, along with two PSVR2s, so the wife and I can play multiplayer VR games together. GT7 gets a bit lonely with just the two us racing together (but still great). We could create an open lobby, but you never know what kind of person you will have join!
Now if we could just get F125 for PSVR2 on PS5, well then we could do full F1 seasons together and that'd be awesome. That's a vastly different game to GT7 and the games mentioned above in terms of having a fully licensed championship, with proper race weekends. I just wonder if GT7 VR players would play those other similar racing games as much if GT7 will always do a better job with it's VR mode. Same for flat drivers too I guess! Having played Forza and Project Cars myself, I would personally stick with GT7, but I would 100% play an F1 game in VR and end up putting way more hours in that than GT7. Possibly even doing full race distances as you don't get bored driving in VR!
You also have Rennsport and iRacings NASCAR 25. AC Evo probably next yeah. And i believe a couple others
I actually read up on AC Evo after posting earlier. Hadn't realised the other AC games were so customisable in terms of making custom championships. I read the makers are fully in favour of VR and making it VR compatible from day one of release. They didn't mention platforms though, so no idea if that will include PSVR2, but that is encouraging. Need to take a look at Rennsport and iRacings NASCAR! Thanks!
