Classic F1 Cars
Why did they cancel classic F1 cars? No one needs supercars in a F1 game! There are so many games with supercars on the market... This is very disappointing!

@Orzowei I agree, would rather have the classic F1 cars instead. They could have implemented a Historic Career mode or something along those lines, that would actually be fun.
You gain access to all the supercars almost immediately so everyone has all the same stuff. It's not like there are dozens and some are super rare, where it might interesting to see who has what. Super cars and F1 life where stale feature after 1 day into the game.
Add on top of that, the super car modeling feels super rushed. The interiors look horrendous and the handling model and sound design make most of them feel like you're driving a tractor.

The classic car licences have always been problematic... they've never been able to license the full grid, tracks or drivers from any given year, so you can never have even a single historic season, let alone a career mode. At least with the supercars they can probably just recycle some assets from EA's other games for the same level of pointless sideshow.
- @gallusnumpty It wouldn't have to be a one-to-one identical season from any year in history or even include all the cars throughout history.
If they could have just carried over the classic cars from F1 2020 that would have been preferred over supercars. In the 2020 game you could do a GP season with the classic cars.
Creating a career mode with those same historic cars on modern tracks would have been a better value add than supercars.
Yes, totally agree on that classic championships. The current moto gp game and even ea sports F1 99-02 had that.
CM has the license since 2009, so there surely would be a way to implement that. A bunch of classic cars, more tracks and relive of true classic races as scenarios, there would be many possibilities to make the experience within the game special.
