You may be right but what it says is:
* F1® 22 Vehicle Performance has been brought more in line with the real season.
If that wording actually means things like the torque curve change applied to all cars then it's terribly worded. What I at least read it to mean was to make relative car performance closer to reality.
Hopefully it will be apparent quite what is meant as people play the game post-patch.
Okay let’s keep dealing with the insane AI speed on straights. According to the amount of time you need to amend minor things I expect a fix for Christmas.

It probably isn't that minor to be honest. Trying to get AI performance balanced is probably pretty complicated. If it wasn't then this issue likely wouldn't have happened to begin with.
As a warning, investigation into AI cornering speeds in F1 2021 took months.
