F1 22 PC - Audio issue using bluetooth headphones

When I use my bluetooth headphones (Audio Technica M50X-BT), the game makes the headphones act as if it's in some sort of call mode. I can hear my microphone from the headphones and the bitrate of all audio across my PC.

I haven't been able to fix this other than to use wired headphones. If the team could look into this, I'd much appreciate it.

    @jonydeppirat I have now managed to make this work.

    In Windows 11, under 'Settings' head for 'Bluetooth & devices', and then within that menu select 'Devices'. At the bottom is an option called 'Devices & printers'.

    A new window will open and you will see your Bluetooth headset listed under this. Right-click your device and select 'Properties' and a new window will open. Go to the 'Services' tab in this new window and un-tick 'Hands-free telephony.

    This has worked for me and I hope it does for you too!

    This happens to me also. I use a Bluetooth headset for sound and a separate condenser microphone to enable the Bluetooth headset to receive in stereo. Even though my Windows setting specifies this setup as default F1 2022 automatically uses the microphone from my Bluetooth headset and thus I receive mono sounds as Windows is trying to use the Input/ Output from the same device.

    I was having the same issue, and I was really pissed.. especially since it didn't happen on f1 2021..
    I even reinstalled the f1 2022 game to see if it was correct.

    I don't know how you found out that but thanks a lot !

    that would be great if EA/Codemaster could fix that... definitely a problem of their game as it never happened anywhere else..

    How do I turn on 'Hands free telephony' again? When I try to do so, it gives a message saying bluetooth parameter is incorrect. 🤔
