F1 22 PC Steam - PS5 Dualsense Controller support

I played F1 2020 and F1 2021 on PC via Steam using PS5 Dualsense Controller. I can confirm via wired connection the haptics and adaptive triggers worked in game same as on the PS5 versions of those games. However, on the Origin versions of the games on PC, they didn't. So I tried F1 22 via Origin/EA App (both apps) with EA Play PRO, it didn't work. Then I bought EA Play for Steam, and downloaded the trial version. In Steam, the f1 22 game says 'partial controller support' as opposed to previous 2 versions which had 'full controller support'. Can you let me know if the support will be added? I don't understand why it hasn't been implemented. It's really lacking to play without these features..

@LittEhhh Try disabling steam input. It worked for me.

Right click steam game F1 22 > Properties > Controller > Disable Steam input.
unplug controller > plugin dualsense > launch game.
You'll see the controller buttons change to PS icons as well.

  • I'm using a wired dualsense, everything works fine except for the adaptive triggers. I've already changed the trigger sensitivity ingame but that doesn't seem to do anything. The haptic feedback works without problem and the game recognizes the ps controller. Is it some kind of bug or am I doing something wrong?

@byJakky I'm on mobile and don't have the link at hand, but look around and you'll see people reporting they can only get the full Dualsense features on Steam.
