Re: Community raised Issues (...that EA blatantly ignore)

Hey @Wollcott

I read through this list, and most if not all of these are things we've already passed along to the team. For some things, like the parc fermé rules not applying, I am working on gathering info to send it up.

That said, I get the frustration on the lack of updates. I know that can make it feel like an issue is being ignored, even if it's not the case.

Going forward we'll work on posting more regular updates in reported issue threads. Keep in mind that we may not always have specifics we can share. I went through the threads for the issues you mentioned and posted updates where I could.

I also wanted to mention that we posted a statement earlier today regarding the tire allocation restrictions in F1 22. Please take a look when you have the chance.

I appreciate everyone's feedback here. I understand where you're coming from, and I don't want anyone to feel like they're being ignored. Please keep the suggestions and reports coming.

@EA_Kent Thanj you very much for that response. I really do appreciate it.
I think the main issue here is the amount of bugs that are coming into the game with patches that should fix and not make things worse. Overall there are more issues with every patch than it fixes.
And it takes way too long for anybody here to acknowledge these issues.
That's what is the most frustrating part. It's bug over bug over bug and people keep posting them all but it takes multiple weeks mostly for anything to happen. I think that is something that really needs improvement because it does often feel like we are getting bullsh***ed for paying so much money but having to experience a game that has so many issues

@EA_Kent And also I think the wrong tire allocation is having the worst impact on gameplay compared to any other issue.
I have never seen so many drivers retire in competitive races in the middle of the session because they suffered damage and had no tire to pit on. Not just adding another tire or not fixing the compounds that you return surely cannot be solution... I mean some in the community have already seen it in the files. A fix could be so easily done. This is one of the reasons league racing is dying. You cannot, never, afford a 2nd stop. It's really really sad. And if it's not working for the AI I don't understand why it isn't something that just gets added to multiplayer. Or make the e sports build available to everybody that solely plays online.
League racing is in a serious state at the moment and I have no idea how it can recover after F1 22.

@EA_Kent Thanks for drawing attention to the tyre allocation restrictions post - I’d missed this and appreciate the communication.

However, I have to say I think the approach to this is totally wrong. In addition to the comments made by others about the ruinous affect this is already having on league racing, running offset tyre strategies was one of the joys of the previous games (and the sport) which has been totally removed in this game. Every race is MH for every driver, which is completely unlike what we are seeing in the championship so far.

I really hope you will reconsider fixing this for this game rather than just kicking it down the road for a future title. I’ve had a lot of frustration with this game since launch, but with the regular patches over the past few months I feel this game is finally in a really good place - but for this issue.

I don’t know about others but I would personally trade the special liveries and DLC tracks in a heartbeat just to have an extra set of Mediums for the race.
  • @EA_Kent Even when you are trying to fix the game you are really killing the good reputation of codemasters with this bugfest. Metacritic 3.0, steam 66%. This will also crush sales for the next rally game.

@EA_Kent This is very disappointed. All F1 22 gamers bought bugs. There are too many bugs that can't be fixed, and different bugs occur with every patch. I give up this year, EA must give discount F1 23 100% or free update to F1 22 gamers.

The speech that always give priority to the occasional player or who nn has time. then the solution could be a more simulative game for the pros is a normal version. so you can also evaluate the sale is to direct you to one or the other.
The Esports pilots complained about the traction is immediately stepped back to 2021 almost equal.
Always equal bug delta safety car. Engineer who doesn't warn you of damage. No chance of changing the wing just. Voice control doesn't work out because sony doesn't think about it. Unupdated boils on many tracks. Undistinguished ranking for those who use help or not. Those who use aid are not penalized over time.
In 2023, you beta those who are expert in f1 also in real life to get a real match not the usual.

@BewareTheHare Yea something like new tracks should be put last as long as the gameplay is affected by serious issues.

@Nellix82 The worst thing is the statement they released about the tire allocation. That's just not acceptable. It was shown by modders how easy a fix can be implemented and yet the issue destroys so many competitive races. I've already said before I've never seen so many retirements simply BC there's no tire to pit on.
It's outrageous that Codemasters can't even compromise this addition to online only since it has the biggest negative effect there. League racing is dying because of a game that is so bad and broken, it should've never been released.
Also just to addy the unplayable immersive FL is a good joke by the Devs since the host is only one with warm tires but this seems unfixable. Can you even imagine how ridiculous that sounds...
The fact that in this game there are still gamefiles from 2015 shows perfectly Whats wrong with this series.

@Wollcott Look, I've always defended them. I think it's hard to play a game but I realize that using old folders so it makes you think that there's that passion that that team that says okay we're starting from 0. They know we're always gonna buy the game for the license, but it's always gonna be a copy is to blame it for us to make it a reason.

EA should focus on the real topics. Don’t need new liveries that are only available for a short time, fix the problems and issues first and then focus on the design. EA needs to properly prioritize sprints and not prioritize cosmetic updates over simulation issues.

I agree with those who said that instead of solving things, they don't need the livres are for children, collectors not for those who want to play. I'm adding an example of unresolved problem for 2years safety does not make it clear even though the first one is far away. creating upheaval to the distribution by ruining my race is also that of others. instead of this you think about the livree.

  • @EA_Kent some of the issues have been addressed, thank you.

But today, we had a league race and at least three bugs have ruined our race.

First; one of the drivers have started the race with -514:00:00 fastest lap time and blue flag conditions for some drivers including me. Which led to two of us getting 5 second penalties for ignoring blue flags. Sice quali was dry and race was wet, people with low downforce dry setup cars were lucky because they were at top 6 and the session was red flagged and restarted from scratch.and everybody had brand new tyres and setups to choose from.

No formation lap since the some of the tyres were cold previously.

During the race, SC came out, delta bug happened and my team mate got his delta from +3 seconds to semething like -1 seconds in a blink of an eye and he got drive through penalty.

he intended to enter pit at the first oppurtunity after the sc, and he went around 1 lap at spa, and when he would go in, another SC came out.

He waited for SC to come into pits, he did his 1 lap after SC as he was supposed to, and he tried to enter pits, when someone was overtaking on the inside at the bus stop on SPA. he forced the other guy to enter the pits since the game said he had to. he turned into him, they blocked the pitlane unintentionally and disqualified just reversing there. it all happened under 1 second.

    In short;

    -delta bug
    -formation lap tyre temp bug
-blue flag at the start bug

    these are all still there.

@RamazanDurak I have been playing formula1 for 2 years but the players in the championship who have been playing for over 10 years say that they have never solved something in 10 years they have improved but not solved. Many participants play for the community but they hate the game. Unfortunately multiplayer is not considered. Esports play with different traction you can see. It's useless that we make lists anyway they don't listen otherwise their last thought wouldn't be the livery but the traction the times the delta the multiplayer etc. Hope for the future 0

@Nellix82I’ve been playing Codemasters games for 30 years and online and post launch fixes have always been something they are poor at Ever since online multiplayer and patches became a thing.
