Hopefully someone gets onto EA about this and fixes it back to last year's race start

Copied my response from another discussion.
I have learned to get good starts. I do not use TC so don't know, if that has any effect. This is how I do it:
1) Keep revs quite low. I do it so that none of the lights in the wheel are on.
2) Release clutch on first gear and keep the level of throttle quite stable until you feel the grip
3) Start adding more throttle and upshifting only after the initial grip is there
4) Hit overtake when in 4th gear
With this I usually am as good as AI (level 98) or even better and can gain places.
Before this I tried all kind of combinations (high/low revs, short shifting, etc.). But this has been the best for me and as said, match AI really well. Hopefully this helps.
