@ajobling1983Ye same I normally just do burnouts too. What I was questioning is if the tire wear during the formation lap is affected knowing that you can't see that in your MFD during that lap.

Yeah I understand and would expect higher tyre wear on the rears. Just didnt check as i knew I didn’t need that set for long.

I'm pretty sure burnout and heavy warming up during formation lap increases wear for sure, but a good start is way more beneficial than having slighly less wear in your tires.
I don't usually have totally horrible starts, but I haven't had huge problems with this game either, sometimes (rarely) even winning a bit in the start and the following turn 1. I don't find it that much harder than in 2021 either. Lately I have had a bit more wheelspin, but I guess I need to lower the revs a bit, I'm still using the revs I did when the game came out... which seems to be too much.Anyway, remember first go a bit over with the revs and then backdown to your target, otherwise it doesn't seem to work correct and you can have too low revs even (same with 2021). I usually start using ERS on 3rd gear on starts.
What else.. having on throttle differential quite low (60 I guess should be the average in this game) probably helps and naturally you need to have really good throttle control in the start.
