Upshift Tone inaudible with headphones and no Speaker Type on console
@issueskid13 I guess this is up your alley.
I'm on PS5. The game is on the latest patch.
Two issues:
- The Upshift tone is inaudible when using headphones, specially on the Ferrari engines, regardless of the sound mix. On TV it is audible alright. I've tested it on Cinematic, Broadcast and my beloved Driver mix, no dice. Cockpit and TV Pod cameras both, same thing. Also took the long shot of decreasing every other slider while increasing the Effects one hoping it would help, but it naturally didn't. The only way to consistently hear it is if I turn on Night Mode on the Speaker Type toggle – which brings us to the next issue...
- There are only Auto and Night Mode options in the Speaker Type toggle. From what I could gather, PC version is working as intended and showing Headphones, TV etc in them.
Tested it all with:
- Corsair HS70 Pro Wireless headset connected via the wireless dongle;
- QKZ VK4 wired in-ear earphones connected through the Dualsense's headphone jack;
- Sennheiser HD 598 connected through the Dualsense's headphone jack
By the way, congrats on the Driver Mix. That one is marvelous!
