Using Newcastle in my first EAFC24 manager career save. Got through most of the year with no issues using the new training plans system. For the last like 10 games or so of the season, I noticed Harvey Barnes was not recovering fitness. He was on the balanced plan, no injuries. I benched him for 3 or 4 games in a row, was only recovering a handful of fitness points a week even when switching his training plan to all out energy. Now of course he's upset for missing games because I was only able to play him in loke 2 of the last 10 games. Is there a fix for this? Or will I be stuck selling Barnes and moving on, hoping it doesn't happen again to other players?

I KNOW THE ANSWER!!!!!Its is because of a European suspension...as soon as the suspension has been served, they return to fitness. In squad hub, the suspended icon is the cause of it, as soon as it goes away, the player returns to normalHappened to me but all fine now.

It's not just a European suspension, it's any suspension. It's just a domestic suspension is done with quickly. I had a player get suspended in last UCL group game, fitness was messed up until Feb, but as soon as suspension was served, fitness returned. I suspect that the game actually gives a sharpness boost to a suspended player, but in turn fitness can't go up at the same time sharpness does. It's one or the other.

I have the same problem with one player. Also coaching a national team with your own players involved in the team seems to mess up their fitness too and if you have tournaments your players don’t recover, much like the bug you’ve described.

Yes, exact issue I’m facing…club players that also play for the national team I manage don’t even play and they are fatigued? Such an annoying bug. Fix it EA

What can I do if the player was suspended from UCL on the match of relegation on R16? Is there any other solution rather than subbing him from March until the end of the season (and frustrating him)?
