Yeah it's actually interesting. A few years back, I remember there being talk of them selling specific GameModes seperately.
We all know Ultimate Team is their baby. The GameMode which brings in a * tonne of money. The GameMode which enhances Streamers Pockets. Which in turn, increases their viewers to spend money on virtual items. Which technically don't exist because then the new Football Game releases the year after, and people do the same thing again lol It makes me laugh alot.
So I totally agree with you in terms of, there's currently no competition. No threat. So they can dictate what to do with their product and get away with it (for now).
There's a few Football projects in the works, but none of them are upto FC 24's standard. And tbh, I don't mind.
I like EA. I adore their Games. But when a product gets sold at maximum price, and is clearly unfinished. That just can't continue. The Gaming community deserve alot better than responses like "We know of this issue, we'll put it on Trello to investigate". Yet, they don't tell their players the process, what's happening, and what they're doing to ensure it doesn't happen again. It's what alot of us call "The Magic Trick". We've all seen magic shows. They show a gorgeous attraction at the front, the magician then does his "magic". And voila. Makes it look like it's all legit. When in fact, it's not at all.
They will notice. It's their job to notice. Will they respond? Unlikely as they fully know well, that I'm 100% correct. Everything I said was factually correct.
But yes. With the Fifa name available, it'll be interesting to see if anyone else snaps up the branding. Competition is definitely needed and is healthy to improve Gaming.
So oh well. I said what I needed to say regarding FC 24. I didn't preorder the Ultimate Edition like I have done in previous years. Just got the standard and I'm thankful I did. More money in my pocket to spend on other products which are finished.
