The game doesn't let me pause sometimes in mcm. How to fix?

I have tried to restart the game many times, and all it has done is nothing significant and it doesn't work when i pres "fix" in the EA launcher, so I have to manually change settings just so that it doesn't do that, and when it doesn't, the halftime animation is repeated indefinitely without the manager career mode menu popping up anytime soon.

EA, please start to fix career mode more and less bad content for Ultimate Team, please. It's impossible for me to play UT because of sweaty rats that only use the most broken teams ever.
