So you've just made one of the best comebacks in the century, and this guy Sneijder complains about numbers and traditions? Wow, he almost challenges Rafael van der Vaart (to be the worst pundit) with these quotes.
There is some truth to it though, on the long term. But it's way too soon to make these demands, when the club is finally winning again. Never change a winning team!

- @Danimal5981 Ha, funny, didn't realize that he may even be even worse than van der Vaart, when it comes to that. Maybe the latter's ending his career in Denmark just means that his opinions are posted more often here. And they are rarely qualified IMO.

Can't believe you've actually pulled this off, going into the final games even with Feyenoord, who had such a gap earlier in the season. Matchday 33 is going to be a blast, AZ and PSV away for the two title contenders. I think it would be the most enthralling end, if you had a Klassieker left, but now you don't, I suppose this is the next best thing. With the goal difference in your favour, I think the title is yours to lose now.

Great win vs Brugge. No more Belgian sides in Europe, no longer being a threat in the coefficients. Ajax are holding the fort for sure, being the only Dutch team left. Sandwiched between France and Portugal, with three and two clubs left, things could work against you, unless you manage to go all the way. I recall a quote from earlier in the season, where it was mentioned that a competitive Ajax was pivotal for Dutch football. And I suppose the current situation only underlines that.

- @Danimal5981 This season, yes. I was mainly referring to the TOTAL column, where Netherlands have quite the gap to Belgium still. And are placed in a sandwich between France and Portugal. So Ajax need a bit more help from the other Dutch teams in the seasons to come, if they are going to improve - or even just maintain - their current position.

Wow, Feyenoord slips in the final stretch. Draws vs both Waalwijk and Almere, and Ajax are there to instantly punish that. A 2 points lead and a better goal difference, you are in a great position with only weeks left of the season. The easy win at Sittard may also be an optimal preparation for the upcoming European games.
New CEO publishing a book. A fun little mention there, great idea. It surprises me, however, that he's had the time to write a book. I would have thought that turning the club from disaster to success was going to be a full time occupation for him.

That Hajduk tie was a really great read. Mention of weather and historical struggles against them, with Sosa also struggling on his home turf. I expected an easier tie for you, but I enjoyed this read, so I'm happy it turned out to be harder than expected.
Freiburg may be the easiest opponent left, so at this point it would certainly be a disappointment not to make the final. I would probably see Villa as the favourites to win it now, with their current form IRL and the quality players they've signed in recent years. Frankfurt are recent Europa League winners though, so at least they're familiar with winning a European trophy in recent years, so they also shouldn't be taken lightly.

Home defeat after leading at half time. Horrible result, but recent results may also have become too good to be true, after the less than impressive start to the season. Let's hope it's just the one slip, and you can still finish the season in good form. Feyenoord back on top though, gotta be an interesting final three games for sure.
Conceding two of the goals from set pieces isn't a surprise to me. Every time I give away a free kick in any vicinity of the box, it seems that it's a goal 90% of the time, regardless of whom I'm playing against. They don't even need a free kick specialist or anything, they always seem to have someone being able to put it into the top corner of my goal.

Conceding a header from a corner? I find that happens so often against me in EAFC24. It seems there's not much I can do to stop it. I've tried everything, but the opposition simply score far too often, compared to real life.
On the other hand, I haven't managed to score a single goal from a headed corner at the other end. I think it's a quirk of the programming.
It seems Feyenoord have the advantage back...

Connor Goldson scored 6 in one season, and I've seen headed goals from corners from Souttar, McKenna and Lingr as well. I don't know if they are particularly good headers, or James Tavernier are just a particularly good passer from the corner. But these goals have come quite frequently for me in my current save with Rangers.
