Players not releasing the ball after pressing pass or shoot

Ffs if I press a button and have given a direction to the player to already pass or shoot, it should register immediately and not hang in there making my pass go wrong because the game decides to release the ball a second after I pressed, it's so infuriating and it's worse this year than ever, why can't you get the game right for once, every fxxking year Jesus Christ
