Some friends of mine have PS4 and want to play EA FC24 against me and other friends on PS5.Before I buy can you let me know if this is possible. It would seem odd to have to buy PS4 version if that's the only way to do it??

Hey @J7AISDAGOAT, The PS5 and PS4 versions of the game would not be able to play together, however both the Ultimate Edition and Standard Edition of the game come with dual entitlement, as seen here. If you're playing on PS5, you'll just need to use this to download the PS4 version of the game to play with friends on PS4.

The PS5 and PS4 versions of the game would not be able to play together, however both the Ultimate Edition and Standard Edition of the game come with dual entitlement, as seen here.

If you're playing on PS5, you'll just need to use this to download the PS4 version of the game to play with friends on PS4.

Few questions:
1. Do you have to pre-order to get dual entitlement?
2. If playing on a PS4, are you able to play against/with new generation consoles xbox/ps or are you restricted to ps4/xbox1?

For your first question, I've not seen anything to suggest that's the case, and it's worth noting pre-ordering was not a requirement for dual entitlement previously either.

As far as crossplay, this is divided by each generation which is why a PS5 player would need to install and play on the PS4 version of the game. A PS4 would not be able to play with/against the Gen 5 version of the game.

Is the dual entitlement available on CDs and if so, how do i know which EA FC Ps5 are eligible?

@EA_Mako I have a ps5 and ps4. I pre ordered and am playing on PS5 no issues. But i have no option to download to the ps4.

I think i may have bought the wrong version and not the dual entitlement version. If thats the case, is there any way to ugrade to dual entitlement to avoid having to buy another copy for the ps4 (same account) ?

Does that mean I can cross-play with my friends who play on Xbox one, if I download and play the ps4 version of FC24 on my ps5?

@EA_Mako I purchased the ps5 and fc24 bundle, however it only gives me the ps5 version and not an option for ps4, it is suggesting I buy the game again for £70, when I have already bought it, please help as I want to play my friends on old gen.

I have the same problem with the bundle ps5 with fc24. Let me know if you find a solution.
