my fc 24 seems broken as the AI players dont move and defend

How often does the bug occur? Every time (100%)
Steps: How can we find the bug ourselves? I have played both on all levels of competition and the players are same. The game settings is on ultimate mode, but the opponent plays worse than beginners. Please go to tournament mode, (UCL)
What happens when the bug occurs? The players run sluggishly to act like they are defending, when they are not. They stopped being proactive when attacking, and their defensc is so porous.
What should be happening instead? The opponent should be able to defend and not just let my players run through them to score.
