Player Career Mode bug when renewing

First ever post here so bear with me please if I'm posting something that I shouldn't.
Probably a bit too late to be posting this as the new game is about to get release but I've experienced the weirdest bug ever and wanted to see if any1 has a solution for it.
So basically I was done w/ my season at Real and wanted to renew the contract as apparently it's the only way you'll get a Ballon D'or.
It said I was eligible to renew, was able to complete all the objectives but one. When I renewed the contract basically my player went from a 98 OVR to a -1 OVR NPC changed my looks, and my position from CAM to RS.
Then if I try to train or play a match the game just crashes.
Also if I try to sign w/ any other team that was interested in me the game just crashes... Playing on PC, Epic Games.

Let me know if you have experienced something similar.
