The game stopped working after a year

What's the point of buying a game you can't play anymore after a year?

I tried in many ways make this game work. It just don't starts. I wanna be able to play it offiline just like when people get a pirate version of it. I just want to have fun. And if it's not possible to do that, I wanna refund this game.
